The Swan Thieves

Georgia made reference to this book in her blog and I have just finished reading it.  It is about mental illness and art so I felt right at home.  It is a very worthwhile read.  It also made me think of another day Mum and I spent with my cousin Cynthia and John.  This time in Kew Gardens at the beginning of our holiday before we went to Wales.

    I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's rather a compelling read. I read her first book, The Historian, which is kind of a Vampire book, but found it a real pain to finish. This one I couldn't put down. It was like a murder mystery- just had to work it all out. I'm dying to do a day into the Met now and look at all those paintings with fresh eyes.

    Yes, it does turn into a bit of a thriller. And it would be great to trace their steps through the Met - a birthday treat perhaps????
