Home

and everything is back to normal.  Except that the blog wouldn't let me sign in and the photo upload is on a go-slow.  I shall persevere and continue blogging.  Not tonight however.  In the meantime, see Georgia's Verbosity blog (link listed opposite) for some Singapore adventures.  I'll add some more soonish.  You may also enjoy these halloween ideas for next year.  And scroll down to see my beautiful beach while Jackie Morris makes bread.

cows might fly

Porth Clais where they were bringing in the boats because 80 MPH winds are expected.

Providentially the kiosk was open.
We walked around to St Non's

and danced and picnicked again.  The evening was beautiful

and we danced at Bishops' Palace before dinner at the Saffron.

Mother and child

Today we walked to Caerfai - Shanah, like me, seeks the ocean.
Archie seemed pretty happy there too.  Then we walked to St Non's
and danced in the field where St David was born.

Funny sort of a day

as Steve's Mum would say.  It started with me thinking that a woman was being attacked by a seagull.
It turned out she was taking her owl for a walk.  I asked if I could take a photograph and a woman with a donkey came down the street, so I photographed them all.
Later I caught the bus to Haverfordwest to meet Shanah and Archie travelling on the London train.
Very reminiscent of Georgia's arrival and departure 3 years ago.
Of course the camera didn't want to play at the critical moment.  We had a chummy time on the bus with Archie's new friends from the train ride.

The inevitable

Yesterday was heavy rain and wind so I stayed home and read.  Today I was a little stir-crazy (interesting news item here in Wales about a girl who was killed by 4 dogs in a friend's house.  The current enquiry isn't into the girl's death but into the mistreatment of animals.  The dogs were said to be 'stir crazy' from being kept in the house) so I thought it was time to climb Carn Llidi.
The cromlech was to be my bolt-hole if the rain got too heavy.

I had to stay on the lee-side cos the wind was too strong - too strong to clamber up the final bit of rock.
I came home via a road I haven't walked before.

Very agricultural until the city appears over the left hedgerow.
As I had hoped, the road went along the back of the Bishops Palace.
Georgia's rose window is under repair
and the rooks from the Merrivale were on guard.

Heaven

Yesterday I found the perfect place - a 'thin place' - and danced the Earth Dance, the dance of gratitude.

Sunny Tuesday

Tuesday was so perfect I stopped walking and found a natural bench to lounge on and read my book.
I was disturbed only slightly.
